After five months,
you would never have recognized her
as the same dog!  It is sad, unbelieveable and intolerable, the abuse and neglect that so many of God's creatures experience.  Below are two links if you would like to help other animals in need!
And so it began...

Brandy,
our very first boxer girl!
I was looking for a special gift for my husband and remembered
all the fond memories he shared about growing up with boxers.
A couple calls to the Humane Society and Animal Control
brought Brandy into our home and our lives.
What a lovely addition to our family she was!
Of course, she had her problems.  Her digestive system was totally screwed up
and you didn't dare leave meat on the counter to thaw!  In the beginning, she was so afraid of
going hungry again, she would snatch any and all available food right up.
We had occasional messes while she adjusted to regular feedings and food...... but she
did adjust.

AND, Oh boy, did she take to my kids!... Like nothing I had seen before. She even allowed my 10-month old (just learning to walk) to pull himself to a standing position using those wonderful lips she possessed!
She would simply pester him with kisses until he let go and it appeared that both were smiling afterward:)
With time she learned what a ball was and how to play tug.  She became such an integral part of our family.
I've had dogs all my life..., but there was something about this dog...this breed.  It was all over.  I was hooked!

Brandy, honey...look what you started!!!
When we lost Brandy all too soon, we decided our next dog would have to be a boxer also.  After reading the standard a few times (I only knew about standards because my sister showed poodles for awhile), we looked around & purchased Jessie.  She did not possess a killer-pedigree, was not a showdog (neither was I a showperson), but she was a
very beautiful, well put-together girl to start out with.
We two, as beginners, took many blue ribbons before I realized she really wasn't enjoying it that much. (Notice the clamped tail in the picture)>>  It was probably my own fault.  I still had so much to learn.  That being said...

Jessie was our foundation bitch and the leader
of the pack, the protector of children, the comforter
of the sick and the playmate for the energetic!
We lost Jessie to Cancer in August of 2002 at the age
of 9 1/2.  She is sorely missed and
her memory will always be cherished by the family!
Please spay or neuter pets. There are far too many unfortunate dogs and cats being abused or put to sleep.
There is much responsibility to be taken when making the choice to breed, don't let it happen by accident!
